Hang Tight, John

River Review

River | Repulsive Reviews | Horror Movies

Sometimes the films that depict events that can actually happen are more horrifying than the most gory of underground horror cinema. They may not be as grisly or anywhere near as explicit, but real-life events can cause real-life emotions from viewers. Thus is the case with Jamie M. Dagg’s crime thriller, River.

American doctor, John Lake (Rossif Sutherland, Hellions), is taking a much-needed holiday from his clinic in southern Laos. After an alcohol-filled night leads him to intervene [...]

Fever Review

Fever | Repulsive Reviews | Horror Movies

Artsploitation Films has a knack for releasing some very interesting films, many of which I would never even hear about if it weren’t for the indie studio’s distribution. There are plenty of films in the catalog I have yet to see, but the ones I have had the pleasure of viewing have all been entertaining in their own unique way. While it isn’t my favorite of the bunch, Raphael Neal’s Fever is no different in its uniqueness and originality.

Child 44 Review

Child 44

I’m not sure what the determining factor is when it comes to which films end up shown in movie theaters around the world or just receive home releases, but it is my fear that there are tons of brilliant movies that are going unnoticed by the general public. Maggie Review

Maggie

I never thought I’d see the day that one of the greatest action stars of all time would be featured in a zombie film. Marguerite (Abigail Breslin) is one of the many suffering from the necroambulist virus that has been spreading like wildfire across the states. After two weeks of searching for her, [...]

The Squeeze Review

The Squeeze

Oddly enough, it seems that almost everyone I talk to in my hometown of Thornwood, NY and its surrounding areas is interested in the sport of golf in one way or another. They either watch it on TV, go to watch live tournaments, personally know someone who plays the game, or play it themselves. Personally, I was never interested in it and don’t see myself becoming interested any time soon. Because of this, when it comes to films about golf, [...]

U Turn Review

U Turn

I don’t know how I was churning out three reviews a day at one point. These days, it’s hard enough for me to find the time to sit through one movie, let alone three. Either way, I’m back with another review, this time it is for Oliver Stone’s star-studded crime thriller, U Turn.

Bobby Cooper (Sean Penn) is on his way to Vegas to pay off a large debt to a very dangerous man, when his car breaks down. [...]
