I Think We Just Picked Up Dracula

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre: 40th Anniversary Edition Review

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre

The classics never die. It seems every few years we get re-prints of our favorite horror films with more and more special features to sucker us in. Some aren’t all they’re cracked up to be and leave us with less money in our wallets and multiple versions of so-called “improved transfers” or “Ultimate Collector’s Editions.” However, Dark Sky Films has managed to give us way more than we could have hoped for with the amazing “40th Anniversary Edition” of arguably the most definitive horror movie of the last century, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. This thing is loaded, folks, and you will get your fill of tasty little tidbits that other versions might have skimped on. Here’s the rundown:

You just can’t go wrong with it. It’s a vast improvement over past releases. The transfer alone is just gorgeous. I don’t believe that we will see anything better until another format is invented and Blu-ray becomes obsolete. Do yourself a favor and snatch this up.

This film already gets 5 BBQ ribs out of 5 from me, but let’s not talk the film itself. I give this edition a 5 out of 5 rating as well. You can’t get much better. Snatch it up from Dark Sky Films today.
